Don't ue language that your customers won't understand - use english not industry speak, unless its absolutely neccessary
Keep it relatively brief. Don't hide your message down the bottom of the page. People won't scrollif the don't understand what you do after a couple of lines.People read in an F formation, e.g scan a couple of complete lines then just the first bit of the next lines, then a few more lines and then they'll may be read on down if they can be bothered.
